This project aims to evaluate the use of the school-issued iPad tablets in academic settings and identify if and/or how it impacts academic practices of Business school academic staff members. The three key areas of academic practices under focus are (a) teaching and learning, (b) research and (c) administrative productivity.
The project will deliver:
(a) A report which outlines the benefits and limitations of the devices, lessons learned and recommendations based on the evaluation of iPad usage in the Business school. The report will aim to inform and influence academic staff usage of iPad at the University of Huddersfield and other higher education institutions keen to provide their staff members with these mobile devices.
(b) An iPad good practice guide for academics on how to maximise their iPads for academic practices.
